ISAC Publications is pleased to announce that a monograph published last year in ISAC’s Late Antique and Medieval Islamic Near East (LAMINE) seriesAn Armenian Futūḥ Narrative, recently won the the National Association for Armenian Studies and Research (NAASR) 2025 Dr. Sona Aronian Book Prize for Excellence in Armenian Studies in the translation category. In its message to members, the NAASR described the book as "an invaluable new translation of an important source for the history of early Islamic rule and the only contemporary chronicle of second/eighth-century caliphal rule in Armenia, and a formidable work of scholarship, presenting in-depth commentary and annotations."
