The Institute for the Study of Ancient Cultures Museum is committed to making our museum, programs, and educational opportunities accessible to all visitors.
Access to the Museum
An accessibility ramp into the Museum is located on the west side of the building on University Avenue. Drop-offs are permitted on the west side of the building on University Avenue.
Parking
Accessible parking is available. Please contact Visitor Services at (773) 702-9522 in advance to reserve a temporary permit.
Additional accessible parking is available at the Ellis Avenue Parking Structure, located at 5505 South Ellis Avenue. The parking structure charges a fee 24 hours a day or requires a permit. It is three blocks north and one block west of the Museum.
Inside the Museum
The Museum galleries are on ground level and are wheelchair accessible. Elevators are located in the lobby with access to all floors. A limited number of wheelchairs are available for free on a first-come, first-served basis. Breasted Hall is equipped with a designated wheelchair area in the front row. Visitors may use strollers throughout the Museum. Accessible restroom facilities are available on the lower level.
