Request a Research Appointment
The ISAC Archives welcomes all types of researchers to use the collections, from faculty and students to independent scholars and community members. The Archives are open by appointment only. Please submit the Archives Research Request Form and review the guidelines to schedule an appointment to view materials.
Hours:
Appointments are available Mondays–Fridays between 9:00am–4:00pm. Please schedule at least four (4) weeks in advance to ensure that your requested date is available.
What to expect during a research appointment?
Archives appointments take place in the Research Archives library on the second floor of the building. Food and beverages are not allowed with the archival material and only pencils may be used. Photography of materials (without flash) is allowed for personal research purposes only. Personal flatbed or feed scanners may not be used without prior permission.
The Archives will provide latex gloves for appropriate materials. A lightbox can be made available on request. Researchers should bring any cameras, charging cables, or extension cords they may need.
Photo Requests and Permissions
Images can be requested for research or publication purposes. To request images of the Archives collection for research, teaching, or publication, please submit the Image & Permission Request Form and select "Historical photographs or other archival images."
Contemporary images of objects (post-2000) in the Museum collection can be requested via the Form and select "Photos of objects in the ISAC Museum collection."
