Carter Rote is a development professional, educator, and historian. He earned an MA in Assyriology from the University of Chicago, where he specialized in social history, cultural heritage management, and the study of military logistics in Mesopotamia. He also earned a BA in History from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Carter’s professional interests lie at the intersection of museums, education, and philanthropy. He is passionate about connecting people with the past through thoughtful interpretation and community engagement. Whether developing educational resources, supporting institutional advancement, or working directly with students and visitors, he is committed to expanding access to cultural heritage and fostering lifelong learning.
