Standard Operating Procedure for the Assyrian Dictionary

This Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) was compiled for the use of members of the staff of the Assyrian Dictionary Project at the Oriental Institute, University of Chicago. It provides a series of sample dictionary articles and a series of notes on dictionary articles. Appendixes cover the following topics: transliteration and transcription, series and periodicals, books, types of sources, languages and dialects, kings, lexical texts, other abbreviations, and symbols.
