In 1934, excavations at the site of Tell Asmar (ancient Eshnunna) in Iraq revealed a hoard of statues buried in the so-called square Temple. This statue hoard is now divided between three museums: the ISAC Museum (As 33: 438, ISACM A12328; As 33: 447, AS A12330; As 33: 450, A12331; As 33:449, A12232), the Metropolitan Museum of Art (As 33: 414, MMA 40.156, former ISACM A12329), and the Iraq Museum in Baghdad (As 33: 439, 443, 444, 445, 446, 448.
