The Oriental Institute Handbook and Museum Guide
This guide to the Oriental Institute Museum introduces selected objects on display in the Museum galleries in 1941. These objects, coming from Egypt, Palestine, Syria, Turkey, Iraq, and Iran, map out the geographical boundaries of the Institute’s activities. Some were acquired by purchase, but most derive from the Institute’s fourteen field expeditions. In the Museum, they can be found on display in the Egyptian, Assyrian, Syrian, Iranian, Hittite, and Palestinian Halls.
