Preparation of Papers for Publication

Every paper presented at the conference will be published in the conference volume. The Oriental Institute has its own publications office directed by Managing Editor Thomas G. Urban and Editor Leslie Schramer. They will provide an orientation about the publication process at lunch on the first day of the conference. It will be a peer-reviewed volume – either by one or two reviewers, depending on the size of the final book. Comments / requested changes / suggestions will be conveyed to you for revisions.

There are specific guidelines for submitting the manuscript and illustrations found at the following link.
http://oi.uchicago.edu/research/oriental-institute-publications-office

For illustrations, note that the book will have the size of 7x10 in. While illustrations can be published across two pages there is a limit to the size of the illustration.
If you have questions about the publication process feel free to contact the Mr. Urban or Ms. Schramer directly.
